Review: Broad Ripple Music Festival (Part 7)

Broad Ripple Music Festival
October 25, 2008
9:30 P.M.
Locals Only
56th and Keystone
Jethro Easyfields and the Arrowheads

The crowd was sparse at Locals Only. My posse had decided this would be our next stop out of pure curiosity of the venue’s setting. We were all newbie’s and interested to see what the place had to offer. It’s small and cozy, but provides an excellent atmosphere for a show. The stage is large and does a fine job of showcasing the band performing. If there is ever an artist at Locals Only you are interested in, do not miss the opportunity to see them at this bar.
Jethro Easyfields is self-classified as acoustic/folk/rock on his myspace page. The music was decent and his voice was distinctive. However, after the consumption of a pizza, my group quickly lost interest and headed next door to the Mousetrap for the last stop of the evening. Freekbass (Cincinnati, OH) was the sole performing act and while they were not associated with the music festival, their show was the climax and conclusion of my Saturday.
