Last week’s 4/20 celebration started much later than scheduled. The Mudkids began at 11 rather than the advertised 10, essentially pushing the entire evening’s timetable back an hour. Perhaps the delay was necessary, as attendance was still considerably light at 10:30. However, once the party started, the staggered set times created a seamless flow of music between the main stage upstairs and the lounge downstairs.
Around 11:30, I found myself in the lounge to witness the changing of the guards as Jackola and DJ Deanne stepped down to let Psynapse (a.k.a.Dubstep Jesus) take control. His set began with an abnormally slow and somber track, provoking thought and concentration.
