Time again for another edition of Dirty Thurzday! Got some really explosive new sounds this week. Added a couple new features to the mix. First, I’m proud to announce a new EP from my dude in Philly Flufftroix. Also added a new local spotlight broadcasting the talent we have here in our own city. OK, on with it!

Flufftronix
Flufftronix is a Chicago-raised producer and DJ living in Philadelphia, PA. Among his fans are Lil Jon—who said of a Flufftronix dubplate, “That shit just make you wanna punch the shit outta some motherfucker!”—and fashion designer Alexander Wang, who soundtracked his Fall promotional video with a Flufftronix bootleg remix of The xx (which has since been officially signed).
Flufftronix’s popularity has rapidly grown over the past year, first with his release of Luvstep 2. This mix is still one of my favorites of the year thus far. He has two huge releases dropping this month. “Bassface” EP with some sick remixes from Deathface and Kanji Kinetic dropping 9/26. This coming week is his release on Indy’s own Rad Summer “Filth Angels EP” which features a very vulgar yet amazing track with Figure. Available 9/19. Check them both out below.

Local Spotlight
This week’s local spotlight is on DJ Hollow Point. Hollow Point has quickly became one of the most known in the Drum & Bass realm of Indy. His style makes sure to keep the audience moving with thick basslines and he always has something for everyone. He is part of the G-9 Collective. The sky’s the limit for this dancefloor-friendly DJ. He is a resident DJ for Altered Thurzdaze at The Mousetrap and catch him every week on his online radio show, Wednesday nights at 9pm ET hosted by www.boost.fm
