Went to see this movie…after reading the book. LOVED the book….the movie made me angry.
The movie was good, but if you have read the book, know that you might be aggrevated by the changes…I won’t ruin them here, but just divorce yourself from the book before you go or you will be disappointed. They made some scenes up to make the movie make sense for people who did not read the book.
But a good period piece none the less!
I am not sure if this really belongs in Music or Art, but I picked Music!
The ISO is offering a special winter sampling performance on January 8 at 8:00pm. They will preview some of the various performances they will have in ’08.
The best part? Tickets are only $5.00! If you like the ISO or have wanted to check it out but never have, this is a great way to set to see them for a little bit of nothing.
While I was not wild about this year’s Yuletide event (last year’s was great)….I love the symphony normally, and like it even more since the these tickets are going to be so reasonable!
Rented Waitress with Keri Russell…You know…the old Felicity…some of you know you watched that show!
Be warned now, this is not a light hearted rental, but worth the $2.39 it cost me….
It was an odd, yet endearing story. I love the flash-ins on the different kind of pies she is making in her mind….like killing my aXX of a husband pie and the ingredients she includes.
It is a slightly twisted look at the very mundane….and when the friend got married (you’ll understand if you watch the movie)….I felt the odd sort of pity that you feel when you know someone is taking the first option, not the best option. Don’t we all know people like that….or maybe we are that?
Oh…and Andy Griffith(you know who I mean) has a small role….but he is funny!
Not a chick flick exactly, but…odd.
