Got this from a friend of mine on MySpace and thought it was GREAT! Hope you all enjoy…lol. ;)

Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at
the top of the tree. Most men don’t want to reach for
the good ones because they are afraid of falling and
getting hurt. Instead, they sometimes take the apples
from the ground that aren’t as good, but easy.

The apples at the top think something is wrong with
them, when in reality, they’re amazing. They just have
to wait for the right man to come along, the one who
is brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the
tree.

Now men…. men are like a fine wine. They begin as
grapes and it’s up to women to stomp the shit out of
them until they turn into something acceptable to have
dinner with.

As some may know, I have been having a c-r-a-z-y time at work for the past week or so. I was definitely looking forward to a nice weekend to take my mind off of everything…and I got just what I wanted! Friday night, I went out to dinner with an old friend who I hadn’t seen in months…so we had lots of catching up to do over yummy margaritas and great Mexican food at On The Border in Castleton. After a laugh filled dinner, we decided to swing by Priscilla’s on 82nd Street for some entertainment. Always fun to go into those types of stores and joke around with the various items for sale…hmmm…wait, maybe I need to pick up one of those…and those…speaking of which, “Kylie, where are my *goodies* from the toy party???” Ummm…what was I talking about? Oh yeah…the weekend. So, after having some additional laughs at Priscilla’s, it was time to head home and finalize my costume for the Mojo Bowling Tourney on Saturday. Who knew that it would be so hard to find a red/yellow striped tie? Apparently, only those silly kids at Hogwarts have such attire. However, I was able to find an orange/grey striped tie at goodwill and through the magic of fabric paint that I picked up at Michael’s, I transformed that tie into a part of the official Hogwarts uniform. Nothing like painting a tie after you’ve had a few margaritas at OTB…makes keeping the color in the lines quite interesting…lol. Once the tie was done, it was off to bed to get rested up for bowling the following day. ;)

So, Saturday arrives and I begin the process of morphing myself into Hermoine Granger. Considering that I have not seen ANY of the Harry Potter movies and was going off of pictures, I think I managed to pull off a great look. Thank goodness I already had most of the pieces of the outfit in my closet already — white button-down shirt – check; v-neck button-down sweater – check; jean skirt – check; little white socks – check; clunky black shoes – check. My only real need was the tie (which I think I did an awesome job on!) and the Hogwarts crest to pin on my sweater (which was easily found and printed from the internet). Let my hair go “natural”…i.e., kind of flyaway…and we have the look down pat. :) I arrived at Sports Bowl a little before 1:00pm and found some other mofos already there and ready to get the show on the road. When the rest of my stellar team (Lish, Jingles, and Tastic) arrived, I knew that we had the best dressed team award won…hands down! Unfortunately, our bowling skills were not as good as our costuming skills were and we were eliminated fairly quickly…oops…lol. Nonetheless, we had a great time together and WE DID WIN THE BEST DRESSED AWARD!!! Yay Team Harry Potter! Once we were eliminated, I stayed to watch the rest of the tourney to see who would take home the trophies. (I also stayed for the beer, but I digress…) Congrats to Team Kingpin for some spectacular bowling…especially ashsmash…damn, that girl can bowl!…and for winning the tournament! As most of you crazy mofos made your way to The Spot to celebrate their one year anniversary and to continue the party, I headed home to get ready for a date…my first date with a very nice guy that I had met the week before through a friend of a friend. ;) He arrived at my place around 8:30pm with a gorgeous bouquet of flowers (never required, but much appreciated) for me. How sweet! After I put the flowers in water, we headed out to Outback Steakhouse for a nice steak dinner and some drinks. The conversation was easy and he made me laugh…which is something I love in a person. Once dinner was complete, we talked about whether or not we wanted to go out to the clubs for dancing or to a movie or what. We finally decided that we would prefer to keep the evening very casual and be in an environment where we could talk. That decided, we headed back to my apartment and watched a couple of movies I had on hand. (Of course, we watched the “scary” ones so that we could cuddle…lol.) At the end of the movies, he got up to leave and gave me a hug and a sweet little kiss before heading back home. The perfect first date! :)

All of this now brings us to Sunday…which is always a laid back day. However, I am in the office as I type this blog working on a few things so that my work week starts off a little better this week as opposed to last, but oh well…you do what you gotta do. Once I get finished here, I’ll be going home to chill out with kitty and to upload some photos from the prior week’s dodgeball game (yeah…sorry about the delay folks) and the insanity that was the Mojo Bowling Tournament. I can’t wait to see some of the other photos/videos that were taken by other mofos. I’m sure they will all be quite entertaining! ;) So, that’s been my weekend in a nutshell…nothing too crazy, but nothing too blah either. All in all…low key and perfect…the way every weekend should be! ;)

Hmmmm…so very interesting during my latest spa visit. (Yes, I like to be a girlie girl and spoil myself every now and then…although I am taking applications if a guy would prefer to provide the spoiling…just saying.) Anyway, I had an appointment for a hot stone massage at The Villa Inn downtown last night. If you’ve never had a massage before or even if you’re an old pro, I always recommend the hot stone…soooooo relaxing. Okay, okay…I digress. So, the massage goes off without a hitch and I am way relaxed by the time I’m ready to leave. I go up to the front desk to check out/pay and the guy working behind the counter says to me “oh, this is the credit from last week”. Ummm, what? Granted, I was supposed to have a massage last Thursday, but I called to reschedule it for this week. Now call me crazy, but merely rescheduling a massage should not give you a credit balance on your account, right? So, I stood there for a few minutes still offering to pay and he just kept saying it was a “credit from last week”. Alright, whatever…I’m not going to argue with you. Thus, it appears that I received a 90 minute hot stone massage for free last night! F’ing awesome!!! :)

So…I know that everyone was getting all excited for the upcoming x-mas holiday, but I was kind of bumming because I knew that I would be spending it alone. Due to some unfortunate circumstances, I was not going to visit the fam in Kentucky, nor were they coming up here. Suck! What to do, what to do…I guess that having a drink was the thing to do because I had been doing so for the week leading up to x-mas and on x-mas eve/morning as well. :)

It all started out with a Colts viewing party and gathering with other mofos at the Castleton OTB on Sunday, December 16th. Three jumbo margaritas later and I was shopping at Target…bought some crap I really didn’t need too…lol. Monday, of course, was the final MNF at the Spot so I came out in my reindeer finery and had some pints with the rest of you crazy mofos. On Tuesday, I met up with Steph at the Olive Garden in Castleton for some yummy food, good “scenery”, and a couple of sangrias. Next came the ‘Holiday Edition’ of Wild Wednesdays at Landsharks. With Santa hat in tow, I managed to party it up with you crazies until the wee hours of the morning. Thursday was a standing dinner gathering with some girlfriends at Cheeseburger in Paradise, where the sangrias just happen to be 1/2 off…yippee! I finally made myself leave work on Friday night at 7:00pm (yes, I know…I’m insane) and met up with a friend at Bazbeaux’s for pizza and beer. On Saturday, I headed downtown to Hard Rock Cafe for dinner with friends (Purple Haze is amazing!) and then on to the Melody Inn for Punk Rock Night (yeah…that was interesting…). Obviously, drinking was a necessity for that. ;) Sunday was another Colts viewing party — this time at DJ’s loft — and some more Miller Lite. After the game, I was “dragged” to the Ugly Monkey by Lindsay and Carrie for some additional beverages and as it turned out, ended up meeting up with them later that night for more debauchery…lol. Then comes Monday — X-mas Eve — and the mojo misfit x-mas party at Peakay’s. Oh my…the alcohol was freely flowing and the food was phenomenal!!! After drinking/eating there, a group of us packed up and headed into Broad Ripple to share our festive spirit with the patrons at the Alley Cat. I’m not sure they knew what hit them when we all came in with our mojo stickers and koozies…definitely fun times!

And sadly…the insanity came to an end on X-mas Day…after I picked myself up and dusted myself off from a crazy ass week plus of partaking of the sweet nectar, I actually had a day with no booze…lol. Of course, the next Wild Wednesday is just around the corner…hmmmmm… ;)

So…I have been fighting some type of sickness for the past 5-6 days now. I ended up going to Immediate Care on Thursday because I woke up and couldn’t breathe/swallow because it felt like my throat was swollen shut. Turns out I was diagnosed with a severe sinus infection and a mild case of bronchitis…happy, happy, joy, joy. I was off work on Thursday and Friday and basically did nothing on Saturday or Sunday in hopes of kicking this damn thing. Trouble is…it’s still here. I have coughed so much, I think I have bruised my ribs. Every fiber of my being hurts and I feel like complete crap. I came into work today because there are a few things I HAVE to get done before Thanksgiving break, but I really don’t want to be here. I still feel horrible and I just want to go home, snuggle in my bed, and rest. Why must this sickness be so intense??? I just want to feel better… :(

OMG…I have never had so much to drink in one week! Who knew that celebrating my birthday week would be so much effing fun?!?! Seriously, it started last Saturday with an out-of-town bar trip (of which pictures will NOT be posted…LOL), then Wild Wednesday for my actual birthday (and my drunk a$$ on the dance floor…literally), then a Halloween bash with my girlfriends this Saturday, and finally a drunk fest at DJ’s to watch the Colts go to 7-0! Oh yeah…I’m not sure how I’m still upright or mobile…good, no make that, GREAT times!! :)

Oh hell yeah…it’s finally my birthday and what better way to celebrate than with my fellow mofo’s during Wild Wednesday at Landsharks! I’ve actually been celebrating with friends from last weekend and will continue to do so throughout this coming weekend. Who said birthdays only last for one day?!?! Not in my world!!! ;) I’m so excited to meet some more of my fellow mofo’s out tonight…not saying that I’ll remember who you are tomorrow though…LOL

So, come out and party with me tonight!!! Boo yah!!! :D

Ugh…so I moved about a month and a half ago…love my new place…hate the unpacking! I did get quite a bit done this past weekend though (in between watching the NASCAR race and the Colts game). Unfortunately, I still have quite a bit more left to do. Hmmm…if we can hire movers to move our crap, why can’t we hire unpackers to unpack it all once it’s moved??? I know I’d pay… ;)
